This scientific data visualisation forms part of the ongoing study by the Research Innovation Unit on the phenomena of intensifying heatwaves affecting both hemispheres, amplifying the Urban Heat Islands.

Quality Data Assurance

  • The data was obtained from air temperature 2m reanalysis ERA5 Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S)
  • Temperatures were converted from Kelvin to Celcius
